Alexandria-based telemedicine company offering home COVID-19 testing kits

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (ABC7) — An Alexandria-based telemedicine company is now providing coronavirus testing kits that can be shipped to your home within 24 hours.

Individuals being tested for COVID-19 can provide a small sample and return the sample for next day testing. When the kit is received by the laboratory and processed, the results of the test are available within the same day.

Solei Systems, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, CareClix, Inc, an industry leader in telemedicine, will offer the screening and testing kits for COVID-19. Additionally, CareClix, Inc. has partnered with medical laboratories across the country including community testing centers, according to a release from Solei Systems, Inc.

"Telemedicine was designed for this type of immediate patient care," states CareClix CEO, Dr. John Korangy. "Our physicians, who follow the CDC recommendations, will perform consultations which include medical, travel history, along with signs and symptoms compatible with COVID-19."
