I cannot see the Olympic's taking place on schedule. I don't believe the teams here are set, and I doubt if they'd hold the meets needed to set them under current conditions. Better to delay them, perhaps all the way to next Summer, then to continue with, or without fans in the stands.

I know all the leagues discussed having games without fans being present, but ultimately they realized it would be a financial disaster, so the games have been cancelled. I seriously doubt if baseball will be played anywhere for months, if the season isn't completely cancelled. It would be foolish to permit Little League baseball to be played, while Major and Minor league was cancelled. Of course if levels of coronavirus drop substantially in the next few months and new therapies make it less of a threat everything could change.

As things stand, if we have a vaccine in a year, it could be a problem beginning in Fall, if it does die off over the Summer, but if most could be vaccinated in March of next year, by Summer things should return to something closer to being normal.

Perhaps we'll get a miracle and a vaccine will be available this Fall, but it's doubtful and the experts to date have said it's not possible. Of course Trump believed it could be out in a matter of weeks, of course he's right, 52 weeks isn't that long.
