The market doesn't give us many opportunities to invest in equities at these depressed prices. I believe it has always been a liquidity driven market and the intense selling pressure in the last two weeks has removed liquidity from markets. Was it justified....maybe to some extent, but Nick always says the market will overshoot. Real question is how much more bad news is waiting to drive the market lower? At some point when the bad news begins to recede investors will turn from pessimistic to opportunistic. You probably want to be in just before that turn if your crystal ball is well tuned. I'm going to stick to nibbling if the market drops to new lows on a news driven sell-off. At some point the market will stop over reacting and for me that would signal the turn to optimism. Takes a little intestinal fortitude, but the economy will recover and move forward.
