Having lived through 3 of theese 'socalled Pandemi's before - it is hard not to think that 'things right now' has gone completely mad - with this one.
-----------------------

With the H1N1 flu - also known as swine flu back in 2009 - authorities from the start, realized that it would be impossible to contain the virus. The approach there after was to prepare hospitals to give the best possible care to the people that got sick.

But then WHO, out of nowhere, after 2009 alters the criteria for 'declaring a Pandemi' - which countries are obliged to try to contain. The result of this 'change in procedure from WHO' are exactly what plays out right now.

Governments around the world are scared sick - using enormous resources and money trying to contain 'a very contagious virus' (which many experts says is in reality impossible). Instead 'all these resources' were much better used to prepare 'hospitals worldwide' to take optimal care of the elderly, with prior conditions, that it at risk (as they would be also of a normal flu virus infection).

In Denmark where I live. The government yesterday closed down the entire country - 'literally'. All schools and childcare closed down in 14 days. In Denmark no deaths yet - still foodshop's were 'run over' after the announcement.
-----------------------

I'm fully 'with you' on the seriousness of the situation.

But I do find it very unfair to blame the sitting US administration for the situation in USA (which very many does - not at least in EU and Europe). The way UN and WHO has announced, that Covid-19 'shall be contained' - is ruling against laws of nature - according to many experts. It simply cant be done. But clearly the political enemies sees 'morning light' in an election year.
