I don't know...What is even more frustrating is I don't know if Amarin's KOLs understand the MOA...I am pretty sure Budoff does not..The company may be following the theory that most of the medical community is ignorant and bringing in issues like the EPA/AA ratio might actually hurt sales..

Maybe the company thinks its better to "dumb it down"..To me its a no brainer...The R-It trial was based on increasing dietary intake of EPA...really nothing more...Facts are lowering trigs by most medications labeled trig lowerers has not proven to be effective in lowering CVD event risk..Although high trigs are a fairly accurate measure of CVD event risk...

"(What most doctors do not understand is elevated Systemic Inflammation (SI) is more effective at raising trigs than increasing diet intake of trigs...And lowering SI will lower trigs if the diet remains the same and lowering SI also lowers CVD event risk...And increasing the EPA/AA ratio will lower SI...)"

....This last paragraph is the message that Amarin needs to get out..Send to every cardiologist PCP and lipidologist...And lastly needs to understand themselves..
