As I mentioned previously, all of CLB's founding partners and senior managers from the 1992 IPO recently retired (or announced their planned retirement). Those who retired probably sold a lot of shares at considerably higher prices.

CLB might still be a buyout candidate, but it will end up being more of a takeunder than a takeover.
