Takes a lot of dollars for Russia to get its oil out of the ground (...think permafrost in Siberia) . The Saudis just need a shovel and a bucket.

So all things being equal the Saudis win that argument...but for the fact that its Russia So I doubt that the Saudis will take them on once Putin raises an eyebrow.

+ also American shale oil is relatively expensive to get out of the ground also.

So that's a lot of powerful people pissed off....
