Recording tech is cheap and yet they don’t want to record the meeting, even though, as you pointed out Coronavirus will make discretionary traveling less and less practical as the pandemic wears on.

And as Mr. Innes admitted, the ASM will not have non-publicly available information.

So what are they preparing to hide?

If what you said is true, I suspect they know the ASM be extremely acrimonious because they pumped up expectations and realize that shareholders are not going to accept a fake out lying down.
