Agreed! It's absolutely hilarious that the thousands of relentless posts trumpeting the expected profits from ActiPatch retail sales have completely dried up in the face of OEM licensing. Somewhat the like inevitable '5 year agrictultural' plans the Soviets laid out repeatedly, and all of which spectacularly failed.
Ask Dell and HP why they both agreed to license and sell INTEL chips and technologies in their systems.......
Nope - pointing out that a product or technology can be licensed to others while being sold retail by the manufacturer simultaneously.
But it was claimed that the ActiPath flew off the shelves at CVS. I didn't refer to the product as a 'gizmo'; your post did. What is a gizmo other than an unremarkable gadget? Of course one can separate the underlying technology from the product. But by all accounts BOTH work, so......you're stating that both can't be sold, either due to contractual arrangements or other reasons, is completely incorrect. It seems you are saying all the value is in the tech, and none in the product. That's interesting considering the years of testimonials here about how wonderful the product is. Wonderful products CAN be marketed and sold - apparently just not by BIEL.
