But who provides the modem & gateway?

The cable companies. And charge a monthly fee for "Rental" use.

After thinking about it, hope settle with 13 before going after "Content" providers.

I don't want ChanBond to be perceived as overreaching, frivolous and lose credibility by suing when may not have any legal merit.

It doesn't make sense to me but WTF do I know.
