Does your son engage in your stock picking or market interests?

Large buy side shops (funds) look for analyst associates with industry knowledge/experience. As an EE, his knowledge of electrical component manufacturing would aid in covering chip stocks or the contract manufacturers. Likewise, power generation or medical equipment/devices.

There are plenty of former IBMers that are technology analysts and medical school graduates that are Pharma/Biotech analysts.
