hmmm...ANY evidence CDEX has applied for ANY grant?

CDEX CEO: The good news is the meth gun is working; they are able to see meth.

We have also been working, have actually demonstrated the meth gun to the City of South Tucson to their K-9, one of their senior K-9 core officers who actually brought meth samples, street meth samples into our lab, and we were able to take the meth gun and actually successfully shoot all of those samples from large crystal samples all the way down to fine powdery substance on the inside of a plastic bag and then we took a swab and swabbed the container that it was carrying it in and then shot the swab and were able to see that as well. We have also had some discussions with four law enforcement agencies in the State of Washington, with the Yakima County sheriff, Walla Walla County sheriff, Belleview City Police and I believe the other one was Redmond City Police. We've also had a discussion and a meeting with one of the three drug task forces in the State of Washington.

CDEX SEC filing Dec 7, 2006 Without financing, the Company cannot sustain itself in the short-term and would need to discontinue operations.

IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE THAT CDEX EVEN ATTEMPTED TO OBTAIN GRANT MONEY? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT CDEX DID TO OBTAIN GRANT MONEY AND WHY THEY FAILED IN THEIR ATTEMPTS IF THEY DID TRY. SEEMS TO ME THAT THE CDEX CEO CAN SHOW HE 'KNOWS ABOUT' GRANTS AS THEY CONSIDER PLAN-A (print 50,000,000 shares, MORE than what has been issued in total) and they consider THE ONLY OTHER PLAN, PLAN-B (DISCONTINUE OPERATIONS). hmmmm.... Shall we see what our CDEX CEO has to say about their actual grant-related efforts in light of their filings stating that without financing, the Company cannot sustain itself in the short-term and would need to discontinue operations?

Jim Griffin: Yeah. Let me talk about, there are a number of different places to obtain grant money. As it relates to homeland security there is an office within homeland security that specifically works with States, the State submit requests vis-à-vis proposals to the Department of Homeland Security and they present a proposal justifying why they need let's say $2.5 million to buy, you know, HazMat suits for the fire department in the City of St. Louis as example, okay. Homeland Security then reviews that request and if it's approved then there's a certain amount of money, they may not get a 100% of their request, but they would get some amount of that money would be granted to them for that specific use. As it turns out the person who heads up that particular office within Homeland Security is from the State of Missouri or he's from the governor's office in the State of Missouri, so we have an ally potentially on a go-forward basis to be able to facilitate law enforcement agencies in various States, be that the State, local or municipal level, that hopefully Chuck Foster, who's our director of homeland security will be able to help those law enforcement agencies through the briar patch so to speak, to get their grants and so forth requests into the government.

Now other sources of grant money, the Department of Justice also has a grant funding capability and they are, it's called the COPS program, c-o-p-s program, community oriented policing services group, and that is another source of grants. With specific to your question about explosive detection, liquid explosives, et cetera et cetera, typically the government does not just give somebody some money, you have to write a white paper, you have to write a proposal, you have to answer to the mail (sp?) so to speak. And then if the government deems your technical qualifications and your response to be sufficient enough to warrant the issuance of a grant and if you're down selected then there's the potential of getting grant money that way, okay, and that's called the SIBIR, s-i-b-i-r, small business innovative resources...

Investor 3: I am familiar with the acronym, yes.

Jim Griffin: Okay. And that's the (inaudible) process within the science and technology director in homeland security.

So... Jim Griffin appears to know there is grant money available, and Jim Griffin appears to know well the processes involved to obtain grants. Significant questions here...

Does CDEX have technology that should qualify for grant money? The good news is the meth gun is working; they are able to see meth.

Has Jim Griffin or any folk at CDEX actually applied for grant money? Well, all I can find is evidence Mr. Griffin knows grants are available and knows about the processes.

Does CDEX need grant money?
