Usually a short (or an illegal naked short).. often a planned an orchestrated attack after a run or big increase.. could also be a company diluter.. but I'm pretty confident they will be off the ASK soon
You'll notice, they will sit there with 10,000 on the ASK, and take hit after hit and not move or maybe even drop closer to the BID.. sometimes its a trading BOT doing the above mentioned..
