I don't think the likelihood the judge will rule in favor of the Generics is very high. But I consider this bet as the wrong kind of Asymmetrical bet..one where you probably won't get much of a reward if the Judge decides for Amarin..But in the unlikely event the judge decides for the Generics it is going to hurt..
Amarin's PPS held firm today..but the IBB was up pretty good and we have 6 weeks to go before the judges opinion...That is a long time..There are a number of possibilities. Those of you who read my posts in the past know I favor asymmetrical bets but I want to be on the right side..
Polling the mob...Most likely scenario is judge supports Amarin...and holding your position was the right decision..My situation is a little different because I could just sell all my shares and be in a financial position where I would be in excellent shape financially if I lived to be a hundred and fifteen...I have never believed in taking some off the table ..never believed in diversification..but this is the exception..because I can cash out and never worry about money ever again...On the other hand if I held all my shares and the judge (god forbid) gives the decision to the generics this is going to tank the stock and IMO would seriously hurt Amarin..and this would continue long after this spring..
It has nothing to do with Vascepa...I still think it will be the drug of the century and permanity change the way medicine looks at degenerative diseases...Something I have always believed. and have not changed my mind about..I am anticipating coming out of this episode with a lot of shares and see them rise to the clouds in the upcoming months..I don't want to buy a Lear Jet or a Yacht...I'm a golf guy...
