Think of it this way. Let's say someone needs money for new car. They need it right away so they sign up for a loan but then before the loan goes through, someone buys the boat they have been trying to sell for a year. Now they have enough for their new car without the loan. So what is the smart thing to do? Cancel the loan of course. Does this mean there's something seriously wrong with them? Of course not, people have reasons for doing things that may not be obvious to others.
