"I'm sure they would like to buy at that price."

$168 mil for a tiny company that has failed twice to mass produce with quality and consistency?...is that the going rate for a company that failed to produce, had the army walk away and is flat broke?...

damn!...im gonna start a widget company, fail to make anything, bleed investors dry and then sell for $168 mil and pocket $45 mil for myself..

"The technology is worth billions."

how much is that tech going to be worth when the Chinese start pumping out a 150 thousand tons of spider silk?...they are collaborating with randy lewis who knows more about making spider silk than anyone...

once the Chinese get going, they will flood the market with cheap spider silk...that's why the army deal was so important...the army wont buy from china...but kim screwed that all to hell..

Vietnam produces 420 tons of silk per year...china produces 150,000 tons of silk per year....or to put another way, it will take kblb years to get to the point where they are producing 420 tons of spider silk..
on the other hand china could really make spider silk a "drop in" replacement and make 149,580 tons more than kblb could...per year..or even more if they feel like it..

any buyer is going to want to know who the competition is..and they are not going to bother with spiber or bolt threads...they are going to know that china is the REAL competition...and they are going to know that the Chinese will absolutely be monumental as a competitor..

kblb could find a niche...and it could still be lucrative...but 25 bucks a share?...lol...no
