Haha... Bloomberg pays attention to my posts.

Dave specifically stated that Jerry J. wrote a check for $100k to the company for those shares.

Apparently, the way this works is that Bloomberg picks up a newswire... in this case it was MT Newswire. They looked at "A" code which stands for "award, grant, or acquisition". The newswire immediately assumed it was the first keyword - "award" - and wrote their piece indicating it was just that, instead of reading the footnote contained in the actual Form 4, that specifically states it was an acquisition, or purchase.

MT Newswire then decided that "award" meant the same thing as an "acquisition" and initially didn't want to update the incorrect wire. They were wrong, of course, which is why that error is now corrected. Bloomberg just prints whatever comes up, they don't consider themselves responsible for checking the accuracy of what they display.

These days, much of journalism doesn't anyway.
