Germany’s global purchases of imported cannabis oils totaled US$288.2 million in 2018. Below are the top 15 suppliers from which Germany imported the highest dollar value worth of cannabis oils during 2018. Within parenthesis is the percentage change in value for each supplying country since 2014.

Spain: US$42.4 million (up 47.3% from 2014)
Ireland: $42 million (up 66.8%)
Madagascar: $38.1 million (up 649.4%)
China: $34.1 million (up 55.4%)
France: $32.1 million (up 43.5%)
Switzerland: $21.7 million (down -8.1%)
Morocco: $15.2 million (up 1,447%)
India: $12 million (up 77.7%)
United States: $9.2 million (down -13.5%)
Netherlands: $5.3 million (up 106.6%)
Mexico: $4.1 million (up 2.6%)
Brazil: $3.9 million (down -23.6%)
Kenya: $3.8 million (up 7,560%)
South Africa: $3.7 million (up 143.8%)
Slovenia: $3 million (up 132.1%)
By value, the listed 15 countries shipped 93.9% of Germany’s cannabis oils imported in 2018.

Among the above countries, the fastest-growing suppliers of cannabis oils to Germany since 2014 were: Kenya (up 7,560%), Morocco (up 1,447%), Madagascar (up 649.4%) and South Africa (up 143.8%).

Three top countries experienced declines in the value of their cannabis oils supplied to German importers namely: Brazil (down -23.6%), United States (down -13.5%) and Switzerland (down -8.1%).

Overall, the value of Germany’s cannabis oils imports increased by an average 67.7% from all supplying countries since 2014 when cannabis oils purchases were valued at $171.9 million.
