As a rule of thumb, when hiring (typically high dollar) consultants we're hiring them for a specific purpose, for a specific time duration, with specific milestones, goals and/or deliverables to measure their success or failure.
Of course we're not privy to the terms that BIEL has engaged him with as a consultant. But as investors, we're definitely able to set our own in terms of our investment dollars.
So imagine this is your marketing-troubled company.
What do you expect from Richard, and how much time are you giving him to deliver on those expectations?
