The basic way to calculate a discount is to multiply the original price by the decimal form of the percentage. To calculate the sale price of an item, subtract the discount from the original price.

.0175 - .01225 = .00525 is the sale/conversion price after the 70% discount

$1,470,000 /.00525 = 280M shares needed to extinguish the entire note in question

That’s why the A/S is 300M. The original O/S before the dilution began was just under 20M.

Remember: A 100% gain to the upside is only a 50% loss to the downside...
