jasbg...

I was more centered on Cardio-doc.

A lot of these cardiologist try to come across as pioneers and original thinkers and use their titles to convince lay people and others that they are the free thinkers and the experts..You might think that makes a lot of sense because they should be...But they are not..Pioneers and trailblazers are the ones who get shot by the indians and most clinicians don't like risk...And that means they don't like to get to get out front...

An axiom of clinical medicine..Is "Don't be the first...and don't be the last"...

The pioneers in Amarin were those who owned stock before 2012 and struck around..There were less than half a dozen clinicians that posted here and two were very bearish..Going back to 2010 before the MARINE trial results there was a mob Buy of out guys on this and the Y board...Every single one of them was convinced there would be a buyout within a week of their post..It is ten years later and still no announced buyout...

Is a buyout a better deal?. No proof of that..What is true for most a buyout would be a score...Buyouts are cool...Add some status to you as a tyro trader..Arguments the new management are going to do a better job are correct less than 50% of the time..I had a very close friend who was senior management in Genzyme...Genzyme was a jewel of a biotech very innovative. They were bought by a big Swiss drug company..So what happened to genzyme?? Well it sort of disappeared...Anybody seen Genzyme lately??..Seems corporate in Switzerland just let it go...They shot it but they never ate it..If BPs were so damn smart why haven't they bought Amarin..Or why didn't they come up with Vascepa..JELIS was sitting there and a real thinker would have realised the AHA arguments against the study was hog wash.

I am certain Amarin and Vascepa will be right up there as one of the top selling drugs on the planet...I would rather be splitting up the profits with my fellow shareholders and management than using the profits from V sales to pay off a bunch of middle management drones who nobody understands what they do in a large bureaucracy..

I am not going to be the one who decides buyout or not..Personally common sense tells me GIA is the the best for shareholders..BO is just the quickest..
