So my mom calls me yesterday and said comcast/xfinity just raised her Internet bill from $59 a month to $89 a month. She called customer service and asked to be dropped down to different plan with a lower download speed, they said no. She asked if she could cancel since her contract was up and then come back as a new customer with the $39 a month plan, again she was told no. Basically she was told to take it or leave or go pound sand. They've been treating their customers like this forever, thus the reason so many people hate the sorry @#$%!^. 30 bucks a month increase isn't a lot of money unless you're a 74 year old widow living alone on a fixed income, then it's an issue. I wonder how many other households across the country just had their rates increased. I'm switching mom over to a different provider, should have her hooked up by this weekend. Hope we mop the floor with them!!!!
