What is or isn't DCVax-L?

Take monocytes from the leuho. process. Partially mature them with GM-CSF and IL-4. Take the tumor from the operation and use freeze thaw cycles to extract the lysate. Incubate the combination.

This reasonably describes the process used by at least 3 players. NWBO's DCVax-L. APAC's APCEDEN (commercially available in India) and UCLA's trial a few years ago where they made their own ATL-DC.

Which are the "same" and which are "different". And which is the new UCLA combo trial?

What "science" says that NWBO's sauce is the next great miracle while APAC's is nothing?
