James...

Actually feel a little better this AM...On mucinex, floinase, Amoxicillin.and omeprazole .as well as Eloquis and Vascepa...and lots of water

Sore throat..injected middle ears, Coughing up yellow stuff (sputum) and pouring out of my sinuses. Tired..low grade temp Was looking forward to playing in a golf tournament Sat...but that is off..According to my PCP..these are the usual symptoms of this flu bug..

Can not remember any episode like this in my adult life...Like going back to childhood...Reading up on Optimal Poker Strategy..ranges,,Decreasing Variance and increasing profitability in MTTs (Multi Table Tournaments)..
Toy games (Clairvoyance)...Its crazy..Getting ready for Vegas poker season..

THe days of Texas Dolly (Doyle Brunson), Amarillo Slim, Pub Person. are long gone. I actually played guys who played against these guys when I was stationed in San Antonio...back in 73, 74...Interestingly enough we played pot limit table stakes..with a buyin and buyin backing you. They played with a "bug" which was a Joker good for Aces, straights and flushes, and lowball..They did not play a lot of crazy game with widows or "rollems"...More seven card high, low or high low...an occasional holdem...That was a wednesday game played upstairs in the officers club (I was the only officer in the game)...They also played a Friday game for much higher stakes at Sammy Lee's..home on friday..Sammy was the representative for the San Antonio district..(a great guy,,and yes he was Chinese.)...We had some very rich guys in both games Buck Buccanan was a very high up exec in USAA...and Crandell Addington(sp) was guy who played with the Doyle Brunson crowd and is in the Poker Hall of Fame..Crandall was not a regular..but he played in the game occasionally. I could not afford to play in the friday game..but I would go over to watch...

It's all data now...but I still think Stuey Unger would have kicked trail in this modern game..
