Why settle if you know you will win and put to rest any doubts regarding the strength of your IP? The only reason to settle would be either:

1) faster removal of litigation overhang

or

2) fear of losing


If there’s no fear of losing (which I think is true), and no need to pay good money to make it go away (because GIA strategy doesn’t care about what happens to share price today), then there’s no good reason to settle.
