That is crazy how close you came to losing all your buildings let alone the damage that was done. Fire is such an uncontrollable force at times, with wind, the dry conditions we reach every late summer if not earlier some years and the possibility people have started some these fires for what ever crazy reason they have.

I imagine the memories will be with you forever or at least as long as you live there.

I helped a friend in the early 80's try to recover his living structure after a mudslide captured all of his living space. I was depressed trying to be of help but I know he never went back to live in the space after we put a good effort into cleaning it up. This was in the Boulder Creek area near Santa Cruz.

So I know its difficult to recover from events like what went through.
