With the expected mega-success of Vascepa, I anticipate constant challenges to Amarin's R-IT patents down the road...It's one of the costs of doing business with a very successful product...Fortunately Amarin was wise enough to protect itself by developing a huge body of substantial patents over the years.

The recent patent attack on Amarin really smacks of an an attack on the whole patent system...Is a patent a protection or just a fig leaf?
