Not only did the SAVA CEO buy a ton of stock, one of the directors, Sanford Robertson, bought about 423,700 shares Friday at an average price of $2.20, and about 76,000 shares Thursday at an average price of $1.86, bringing his ownership to about 663,000 Cassava shares. The CFO, Eric Schoen, also was a buyer of 5,300 shares at an average price of $1.88.

When a CEO, CFO and a director buy significant amounts of stock, that sends a powerful message to investors. Missing has never bought a significant amount of stock with his own money (with a +$500K salary he could easily buy a decent amount of stock), Sandra Boenisch hasn’t stepped up, and to my knowledge no Anavex directors have been recent buyers.

Not a pretty picture.
