Franky, here’s another way in which VEND’s planning was poor. Even if you had installed all 1500 units, the royalties would not have been adequate to cover overhead.
The problems included:
- very low margins on kiosk sales
- very poor location selection
- excessive overhead
You can’t blame those things on Flex. It was poor management.
The company’s real business plan all along was to sell franchises fast enough to collect deposits adequate to fund cash flow requirements, otherwise known as a Ponzi scheme.
