Tesla has been on a tear since it told investors that it turned a profit in the third quarter, but Cowen's Jeffrey Osborne remains unconvinced about the stock's prospects.
Tesla stock (ticker: TSLA) is up 69% in the past six months, compared to an 11% gain for the S&P 500 over the same period.
"We continue to see [Tesla] as significantly overvalued given the challenging prospects the company is facing with its current product lineup," Osborne wrote in a note Tuesday, referring to the auto maker's Model S, X and 3 vehicles.
