My guess is that they don't want to show a demo because they don't have a solution for the reader. We know they have a handheld spectrometer because we've seen it in one of their pictures. Perhaps that's what they have been using for proof-of-concept? That's a $2,000+ piece of stand-alone equipment however which doesn't lend itself to widespread adoption of the technology.
