I'd love to know what a smart person thinks about ABC's post. My thought is that for a "deal" to impact this years taxes it would have to be closed, so nothing announced today would be completed by 12/31/19. Even 30 days would be very aggressive time period, so possibly any deal that was done with some kind of current calendar year tax benefit in mind would have been announced before Thanksgiving and probably weeks before Thanksgiving at the latest.
