Doc, I copied that directly from the AC voting question PDF - AMRN did not ask for a label from FDA that contains the word "statins" - that's what this whole thread is about, the diffs between the label they are seeking in the US vs. EU. Will most patients who get prescribed V for primary prevention be on a statin? Sure, because their LDL-C levels will probably be elevated - but that's not the point. Plus there a a bunch of members of this board who are taking V w/o a statin, including me, because we have low or normal LDL-C and don't need a statin to lower levels - we might get better CVD protection if we were on one, but for various reasons we choose not to take one.
