Perhaps your right, if you are assuming that the debtors are interested in the immediate trashing of the PPS. What if they are interested in riding this to its maximum potential? Then converting with strategic timing. I also think with the millions of revenues Ngen will be paying off some of that liability, at least for those that just want to opt-out. But I think they probably chose convertibles to cash because of the upside potential. I think this might be an atypical OTC behavior this time considering the size of the market out there. Again, I am a tech guy and to be first to market with a successful 3d glasses-free tech across product lines is a behemoth.
