Just FYI, if anyone is interested in watching TV on their computers, 11 years ago when I drove cross-country I bought a little Hauppage dongle for my XP machine. Ze'ev owned Hauppage stock and he was much smarter than I, so I bought a Hauppage. A couple of years ago my old VCR finally died, and I decided to hook the Hauppage dongle up to my old XP computer and TV cable. Works great with cable, getting HD as well as non-HD channels. Records perfectly. If you use it with the antenna supplied, reception is limited, but for the RV one can buy a better antenna.

For my Win10 machine I recently decided to upgrade to a newer Hauppage dongle that can record two TV shows at the same time, or watch one while recording a different channel. This little dongle is fantastic. Costs under $100. Highly recommended. Will never need to buy another TV, LOL.
