I suppose as long as you keep the trading profits in a separate pile of money that only gets funneled back into more trading shares of AMRN you could say you're lowering your core basis - but if you spend part of that money on something else things start to fall apart. But hey, it's your account and cash, you can use whatever basis method you choose. Curious how much STCG taxes eat into your results, vs. a buy'n'hold strategy - that's classified as ordinary income, right?
