And the gun sight ornaments above the head lamps. Buicks were also known for their "sidesweep" chrome that run from the rear through the doors and up to the front wheel well. All designed to impart a feeling that you weren't simply driving a car, but a "land rocket" in tune with Space Age era of the 1950s.
