(reposts) App opinions/DD: A master plan to DOMINATE the sector... Read all of this and tell me im wrong...

Id like to see a Snakes App... A way to connect single gamers would be cool, with a rating system based on if people show up when they say (reliability).

If someone flakes too much, without letting the other players know in advance, they lose their ability to use the connection service. Serious gamers would love it

It could also be a dating service.... Not only can they hook singles up, they give them something to do on their first date that is fun/less awkward.
______________

The App can offer promotions to get people back in the locations, retail game sales, game tutorial videos (if Gurus are busy, see the App!), free game giveaways (new and used copies), contests... There is so much this specific business can do with an App.

Encourage each customer that comes to Snakes to downoad it then and there. Let them know they can use it to get an instant cover charge discount, etc

With thousands of people coming to Snakes each DAY, the amount of people you can send alerts increases FAST.

Then they can start charging publishers for marketing, promos, etc... Game creators will want to give Snakes distribution exclusivity just to get the marketing perks.
____________

I bet you if they handed out games daily, they will have more people using the app than the amount of people that actually go to Snakes.

I bet they would have thousands of people in each and every state that download the app, which builds the brand before a Snakes location even opens in their town... focusing their marketing efforts on free game giveaways will make them the talk of the entire table gaming sector. Gamers will know about snakes even if they never been to a location. They will see their friends mention it on social media, often.

If I were them i would start developing an app ASAP, before someone else does. At least get the basic structure created. It’s a no brainer.
_______________

Snakes has thousands of SKUs on their retail website, which can generate a lot of $$$ via an app with promotional alerts. This aspect alone makes an app viable right now. The sales can pay for it.

If they were not a distributor/retailer, i would agree, but there is massive growth potential with board games being so hot.

Snakes can beat Amazon prices on many titles that they are the EXCLUSIVE distributor for. This is a significant aspect and should be leveraged into a loyal retail customer base of active gamers.... Snakes still makes money when Amazon sells these titles, but they wont have to pay Amazon per unit.

Also, they can get all the Kickstarter backers to download it, so they can track their order status, etc. I bet the App would be on hundreds of thousands of phones after one year... It wont even cost them much to market it. They can use their gurus, bartenders, servers, website, kickstarter backers, social media and even mention it on future prints of self published titles. None of these cost much money.

I bet millions can be made from an effective use an App. Who does not have a smart phone in their pocket nowadays? Offer all kinds of promotions and free game giveaways throughout the week, BUT ONLY IF THEY LEAVE THEIR PHONE ALERTS ON. You have to act fast to get it!... This could drive serious growth.

Just start the App simple. Use it as an interface for the already created ecommerce database, then start adding new tabs/features each month. They already have this stuff: https://www.snakesandlattes.com/
______________

Many companies this size spend $XXX,XXX per year to market

Instead of paying mass amounts of money for marketing that is only slightly effective, they can give away $100,000 per year in games that they get at master distributor prices, which is lower than the mass retailers can buy games for... The consumer sees it as getting a $30 game, but snakes is paying less than half that on some titles. They could give out over 5000 games in a year and it won’t even cost them much. That’s almost 15 games per day!... Everyone would have this freakin app on their phone, with alerts turned on! lol

Tell people if they mention the app on social media, they get entered into an even bigger and better drawing. This would influence thousands of people to start spamming the app to millions of others.

Can you see how massive this could get for a company in this strategic position?

There are several penny stocks that have developed multiple apps, but the premise for their Apps suck, unlike Snakes.

All FUNN has to do is contact a few of these small companies and tell them to put a proposal together. They can even offer them commission on App retail sales to really push their enthusiasm and keep initial costs low. Do it as a "joint venture" so they can pump their stock a bit AND bring their investors eyes our way as well. Everybody wins!

I bet a micro cap developer would jump at the chance to be associated with Snakes... None of the tickers come to mind at the moment, but i have seen some in the past that created some very detailed and attractive apps.

PS: They might just take a million shares to do it. Worth it?

The easiest Apps to monetize are the ones that already have a large customer base. All you are doing is giving people a new way to interact with your business.

Everyday your following will grow, just by placing a little advertisement on each table telling people to download the app to receive an instant use coupon

______________

Apps have become like websites. Many people have learned how to build them as a hobby. This is driving down development costs.... having an App is no different than a website, it’s just a different interface accessing the same information

On top of there being so many app developers hurting for work, willing to take less to get involved in a big long term project, you also have thousands of great App examples out there now to copy. The basic format for a solid e-commerce/informational app has already been created many times. All they need to do is copy the basic structure. This makes it easy, along with having all the e-commerce stuff already available.

The hardest part to building an app isn’t actually the app, it’s the content... and snakes has tons of content that’s not being utilized to its full potential... I was just on the Guitar Center App and picturing how their formats can be used for Snakes & Lattes. I but there are many companies that have app templates, you just need to add the content. It can likely be created in under 3 months

Also, there are many small dating apps. Hundreds of them... In the future they could possibly do a joint venture with the small dating app company to get the whole matchmaking aspect rolling. For both gamer matchmaking + dating... I would work on this aspect last though. Just getting the e-commerce going, all the instruction videos on the app and promotions would be a great start. That’s really all you need for a great app, everything else is bonus... The promotional aspect is key, because you can use it to keep people coming back to the app. This will help ensure that the project costs are being covered with growth.

Maybe they can do a joint marketing deal with another website for some gaming news, etc. They know many of them.
_______________
Yep, the Dominos Pizza app was the biggest thing they did in decades.

If a company has a use for an app, they are crazy not to have one. It’s like not having a website.

Apps are easier to grab customers attention than websites, specially if you can create a promotional structure that influences them to leave their real time Alerts on. You can remind them about Snakes & Lattes throughout the week.

For example, right before people get off work you can remind them that happy hour will be starting and what type of promotional food items you will be serving. You can also mention that happy hour attendees will be Instantly entered into a drawing just by being there.

I also like the marketing aspect. Many of the small game developers create promo videos to pitch their new games. Snakes can charge the developer for the marketing, then place the video on their app and tell their customers that if they watch the video they will be entered into a drawing for a free copy... Then hand out MANY copies, so people tell all their friends that they won the game through the Snakes app. This will get even more people downloading the app.

I bet you anything if snakes gave away $100,000 worth of games (at wholesale prices) over the course of a year, their App would go viral and it will be a massive success for this company. Gamers will go freaking nutso over Games being given out daily. They will BRAG about winning on the message boards and social media

Like i said, they can give out about 15 games per day and it will cost about $100,000 per year... This is a powerful form of marketing for a company of this type. Better than any magazine, etc... this is how modern/hip companies keep their customers engaged
____________
I believe they can easily increase each locations revs in the future...

As they gain more locations, they are going to become the MOST powerful marketing force in the rapidly growing board game sector imo.

There are other game cafes but they are all mom and pop, they dont have the same marketing appeal... With Snakes a marketing plan can be created at the corporate level and each location can be directed to put up posters, add themed items to the food/drink menu, marketing displays near the entrance, Gurus told to push a specific title, etc.

Snakes locations can recommend, teach and market a title to thousands of customers EACH DAY in the future... and its the BEST kind of marketing. People that enjoy themselves playing a new game, which they were EASILY just taught, are more likely to buy it on the way out the door... esp if Snakes allows all or part of a customers cover charge to be applied to the retail cost.

With Tempe they might already be averaging 1000+ customers each day... and marketing to 1000 customers PER DAY in Snakes is likely more effective than selling a magazine to 1,000,000 subscribers, even if the advertisement is on the cover. A magazine cant sell a unit then and there.
