Make sure when you trade around your core you do not sell your original lot for capital gains purposes. A lot of brokerages default to FIFO (first in first out) which is not what you want. If you had 10,000 shares for 6 months, then quickly bought and sold another 10,000, your original lot is sold and your clock is reset under FIFO.

I had to call mine and change it to LIFO (last in first out). This lets you buy and sell fast without worrying about selling your original lot.
