I agree that only a small percentage of the US population is aware of amorphous metals, which is why I’ve wondered why people believe that the trademarks are valuable.

IMO, Apple could start using CIP/Liquidmetal technology tomorrow and never mention LQMT. Why would Apple want to build our brand for us? Why wouldn’t Apple just say that they have a proprietary material that is stronger than titanium and they call it Steve Jobsian Metal? Even though Intel offered rebates, Apple never used the Intel inside promotions. IMO, Apple isn’t going to promote LQMT.

IMO, it is a waste of time and money to promote LQMT to the public. Even with public awareness, there isn’t going to be a ground swell demand for amorphous metal products. The vast majority of the public doesn’t care how a product is made, they just want the product. Demand will come (or not) from the engineers who see it as a solution to a problem/issue.
