I'll give u another analogy. Let's say Bbob invest on a company that makes Barbie dolls suddenly the dolls go out of style and your precious company suffers a devaluation. You decide not to sell the company because you are hoping they design a new Barbie doll that is not out of style and can sell for a lot more than the originals but nothing ever materializes. By then you sold half your position at a loss. But after 10 long years management realizes now they have a warehouse full of antique dolls that are worth a lot of money. Insiders find out and they start buying millions of shares. Would you feel cheated??
