I woke up early and still not ready to return to the bed.
I had to ponder the situation a bit longer. Several weeks ago when I saw this COWPP symbol appear in the 50 Most Read list my initial thought was, "that's interesting, I've never seen a five letter ending in P before on this list." So I mentioned it on this DD board.
Obviously the promotion of a dead ticker for a company that dissolved itself years ago is, by definition, disingenuous, especially when it has been proven the company had dissolved itself years ago.
That said, the action the SEC took to suspend was warranted. Its reason for suspension -- price manipulation -- was correct.
Then there is that mention of the credential -- the Masters from the Harvard Business School -- of which the university's registrar found no evidence.
We keep records for a reason. We also archive them for a reason. I tend to think this character promoting OTC tickers isn't the only person who has submitted a resume falsely claiming he earned a MBA from the Harvard Business School.
To continue the digression, a lot of sleuthers arrived at this conclusion long before I did. There are now hundreds of tickers in the marijuana sector. A good many of the CEOs know each other, and they often engage in price manipulation tactics, promotions, etc. to fatten each others' bank accounts.
