how does the coo not have any stake in the game beside if he gets fired he gets his nice payout.

That is crazy to me, the explanation on lack of board ownership was “personal decision”. Berlund above all bod makes enough to have a sizable chunk in the company. He’s made it clear he isn’t going to get in the game so he needs to go.
