Why would a consortium of MSOs list as SEP?

I guess I don't understand your postings.

CableLabs is a consortium of their member cable companies (65 total?); therefore, do not understand how they'd recognize ChanBond patents as standard-essential ones.

As previously written, believe best option is for:
COMM
CISCO
CableLabs
MSO 13
Other Cable Companies
&
All Cable DOCSIS 3.0+ Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs)

to buy patents.

Then they can put them under CableLabs' or COMM's umbrella of patents (or share).

But if buy patents, ChanBond's part is over unless license with royalty.

But that introduces many other complications--Audits, public, private, sales, units, etc.
