You might wanna revist that USD and Gold are inverse hypothesis. Since, they've both traded in-tandem higher most of the year. But, I'm sure you knew that too...LOL
The reason they've trended upward together, but also maintained their inverse characteristics is because the dollar mistakenly caught a safe haven bid from other currency's and markets suffering around the world causing folks to flock to both. This won't last and Gold WILL win as it always has when gov't have gotten out of control and the dollar(Federal reserve note) is only toilet paper now that it's not a receipt for the true money GOLD..
