His diagnosis is

VAPING INDUCED PNEUMONITIS from vaping JUUL and THC

the oil content from vaping and esp THC OIL is causing oil deposit in his lungs

Our largest hospital has seen 3 PTS in last 2 months with his symptoms
One patient was bleeding thru his lungs / the other very similar symptoms and chest X-ray To my son - neither returned for follow up appts.

The oils deposit in the alveoli of the lungs and stick like glue and don’t come off.
They are hopeful that the fevers break soon but antibiotics are doing nothing for his wbc 25k

This is no current treatment but the head of pulmonary department is speculating they might try a steroid injection and observation
Plan is to keep him at least 2–3 more days or until fever resolved without apap

Chest X-ray looks worse than a 40 year smoker ugh
