The closest hotel is the Hilton Home 2. It's right off the I-495 - exit 28A. I don't think it has a bar if you want a night cap before bed.(now you know my priorities) ;o)

I'm at the Marriott Courtyard on Prosperity which was 2 miles from the FDA - a pretty straight shot down the road and appears to be easy accessible - during non-rush hour traffic. Rush hour is anyone's guess.There is another Courtyard in Silverspring which i think is about 4 miles from the FDA. There could be more restaurants i that area but i am unsure.

There is also a Residence Inn and a Hilton Garden Inn. With the exception of the Home2 - i think the others are 2-3 miles driving - the college park marriott and other courtyard are 4-6 if I recall from the map.
