Ziploc: It is my understanding that the existing label is for reducing TGs in patients with hypertriglyceridemia, and doesn't say anything about treating CVD. Is that wrong?

That is one of the big risks for AMRN -- if the generics get approval for the narrow Marine indication, then doctors can prescribe and/or pharmacies can fill with the generic for the soon-to-be-approved R-It label, regardless of whether the generics are approved for that broader label. An earlier post today said something like 33 states require pharmacies to fill with the generic even for uses for which the generic is not approved.

But your point is valid. Assuming hypertriglyceridemia is also a chronic condition, that strongly supports the inducement case.
