Spencer-That's a huge over simplification regarding qcom's revenues and net income and how the purchase wouldn't be worth one years income.Deals are made everday for ratios higher than that because it is FUTURE revenues and earnings that key the deal.Would you say the same thing if qcom's rates are determined to be out of whack for wcdma under FRAND, but adding idcc's patent portfolio would offset the loss and in addition give them entrance to td-scdma? Also qcom might not be the only bidder.
