They could also sell XOME and have the gains completely tax free I think, but I don't know if this is their plan or would be a good decision.

Yes, this really could skyrocket AGAIN, as NSM did in 2012/2013, from nearly the same PPS we have now, to ~$58, all in less than 1.5 years, and without $5.9 billion NOLs
